Building Community from Day One: M Social Hotel Phuket’s Town Hall Events Welcome New Buddies

At M Social Hotel Phuket, welcoming new team members isn’t just an HR formality, it’s a celebration of community, collaboration, and the people who make the property extraordinary. Through their regular Town Hall Events for Buddies, the team has created a warm, inclusive tradition that sets the tone for every new joiner’s journey with the hotel.

A Twice-Monthly Tradition

Held on the 1st and 16th of every month, these Town Hall events coincide with new buddy hiring dates, when the HR-Training team provides the Corporate Orientation Programme. New buddies participate in a full-day training session, learning about the hotel’s culture, standards, and values, before wrapping up the day with a mocktail session.

It’s a thoughtful way to create a welcoming introduction to the hotel, helping new team members feel connected from the very first day.

More Than Onboarding

The Town Hall serves multiple purposes beyond orientation. It provides a platform to share updates, celebrate achievements, and align on upcoming initiatives. Open discussions and team recognitions create a positive atmosphere that reinforces the spirit of community and teamwork at M Social Hotel Phuket.

Importantly, the event also helps break the ice between the Executive Committee and new buddies. By creating informal, engaging touchpoints between leadership and new joiners, the hotel strengthens relationships and builds trust from the start.

For M Social Hotel Phuket, this approach is part of what sets them apart as an employer of choice. The Town Hall is about making people feel valued, heard, and genuinely excited to be part of the team.

Notable New Joiners
This year, M Social Hotel Phuket has welcomed impressive new talent who will play key roles in building a stronger team and driving revenue growth. Pongratchada Sarapoke has joined as Assistant Director of Sales (BKK), bringing expertise that will strengthen the hotel’s presence in the Bangkok market. Darika Laotriyanon has taken on the role of Marketing Communications Manager, bringing fresh perspective and strategic insight to the property’s marketing efforts.

Both are excellent examples of the calibre of professionals choosing to join the M Social Hotel Phuket family, and the Town Hall events ensure they feel welcomed, supported, and ready to contribute from day one.

Fostering a Culture of Belonging

What makes the Town Hall events special isn’t the format, it’s the intention behind them. The team at M Social Hotel Phuket understands that strong communities are built through consistent, genuine effort. By creating regular opportunities for connection, celebration, and dialogue, they ensure that every buddy, whether new or experienced, feels like they truly belong.

As we celebrate 30 years of Millennium Hotels and Resorts and look to the future, initiatives like this remind us that our strength lies in our people and the communities we build. Well done to the M Social Hotel Phuket team for creating a culture where people aren’t just hired, but truly welcomed.

On 14 November 2025, M Social Hotel Suzhou gathered its team for a Town Hall Meeting that was celebration, reflection, and forward planning all at once. Themed “Uphold 30-Year Aspiration · Build Extraordinary Journey,” the event marked Millennium Hotels and Resorts’ 30th anniversary whilst bringing together the property’s achievements, recognitions, and collective vision for the future.

The Town Hall also featured the Q3 employee birthday party and Monthly Star Commendation Ceremony, creating a meaningful occasion that brought everyone together for the journey ahead.

Celebrating People as Our Most Valuable Asset

As a trendy lifestyle brand under Millennium Hotels and Resorts, M Social Hotel Suzhou believes deeply that its people are the most valuable asset. This conviction was evident throughout the Town Hall Meeting, which reinforced the collective commitment to upholding a 30-year tradition of excellence whilst fearlessly embarking on the next chapter of an extraordinary journey.

The event acknowledged that success is built on the dedication, creativity, and resilience of every team member. By bringing everyone together to celebrate, reflect, and plan, the property demonstrated its commitment to a people-centred culture.

Rooted in Legacy, Focused on the Future

The meeting commenced with a warm welcome and a comprehensive review of the hotel’s key milestones and collective achievements during Q3. The recap recognised the dedication and resilience demonstrated by each team member, celebrating the tangible results of their work.

General Manager Peter Low delivered an in-depth overview of the hotel’s development trajectory, tracing the path that brought M Social Hotel Suzhou to this moment. He then outlined the strategic direction for the future, providing clarity and focus for the year ahead.

Department heads presented their strategic priorities and operational plans for the upcoming year. Representatives from finance, sales, and marketing highlighted notable accomplishments that underscored their departments’ contributions, building confidence and momentum across the property.

The agenda included inspirational remarks from senior leadership, who expressed sincere appreciation for the team’s efforts and reaffirmed the organisation’s core values of innovation, collaboration, and service excellence.

Recognising Excellence and Celebrating Togetherness

The Town Hall featured the Q3 employee birthday celebration, offering personalised greetings and thoughtful surprises for the birthday honourees. These moments of personal recognition remind everyone that behind the professional achievements are individuals whose contributions matter.

The Q3 Monthly Stars were also recognised in acknowledgement of their exemplary performance and contribution. These awards celebrate the people who go above and beyond, setting an example for others and driving the property’s success.

Interactive activities themed around the Millennium Hotels and Resorts’ 30th anniversary, along with a ceremonial cake-cutting, contributed to a vibrant and joyful atmosphere. The activities reinforced the connection between M Social Hotel Suzhou’s journey and the broader Millennium family’s 30-year legacy.

The occasion concluded with a festive dinner, during which colleagues exchanged reflections and celebrated collective achievements. The dinner provided space for informal connection, laughter, and the kind of camaraderie that strengthens teams and makes work more meaningful.

Moment of Unity and Momentum

The Town Hall Meeting at M Social Hotel Suzhou was more than a quarterly gathering—it was a moment to honour the past, celebrate the present, and unite around a shared vision for the future. The combination of strategic planning, individual recognition, and genuine celebration created an event that reinforced the sense of unity and purpose across the M Social team.

As the property moves forward into the next chapter, it does so with clarity about where it’s going, pride in what it has achieved, and confidence in the people who will make it happen.

As we celebrate 30 years of Millennium Hotels and Resorts and look to the future, M Social Hotel Suzhou shows us what it means to honour the past whilst building towards tomorrow. The team has truly embodied the spirit of “Uphold 30-Year Aspiration · Build Extraordinary Journey.”

Cheers to 30 Years: Millennium Hotels and Resorts’ Global Toast Brings the Family Together

My personal vision and dream is for our group to continue expanding, with hundreds of our Singapore flags proudly flying on properties around the world.”

– Executive Chairman, Mr Kwek Leng Beng.
Executive Chairman - Mr Kwek Leng Beng & Family with Executive Director - Mr Kwek Eik Sheng, Guest of Honour - Mr Heng Swee Keat and Senior Leaders from CDL.

On Friday, 14 November 2025, Millennium Hotels & Resorts properties around the world paused to celebrate a remarkable milestone: 30 years of hospitality excellence. The “Cheers to 30 Years” Global Toast Party brought teams together in a moment of shared pride, gratitude, and optimism for the future that lies ahead.

The MHR30 Gala was celebrated at the lobby of Grand Copthorne Waterfront Hotel Singapore, bringing together employees and partners from across our global family, including Millennium Hotels and Resorts’ Executive Chairman, Mr Kwek Leng Beng, Executive Director, Mr Kwek Eik Sheng and our senior leaders with guest of honour, former Deputy Prime Minister, Mr Heng Swee Keat. It was a proud moment that recognised Millennium Hotels and Resorts’ journey from one hotel in Singapore to a worldwide portfolio, whilst reaffirming its commitment to innovation, excellence, and the future ahead.

A Simultaneous Celebration Across Time Zones

Employees gathered at properties worldwide for a delightful spread of sweet and savoury finger food, followed by a virtual toast synchronised with Singapore to honour Millennium Hotels and Resorts’ 30th anniversary. The simultaneous toast, despite spanning continents and time zones, created a powerful sense of unity and connection across the entire organisation.

It was a beautiful reminder that whilst we work in different locations, speak different languages, and serve different markets, we are all part of the same family—united by shared values and a collective vision for the future.

Time Capsule: Letters to the Future

Beyond the toast, the celebration included a reflective initiative that will connect this milestone to the next. The “Time Capsule: Letters to the Future” invited employees to pen heartfelt messages and hopes for Millennium Hotels and Resorts’ next decade.

These handwritten notes, filled with dreams, aspirations, and encouragement, will be preserved and opened during our 40th anniversary celebration in 2035. It’s a beautiful tradition that acknowledges the people who are building the future today and invites future colleagues to see the vision that guided this moment.

Wall of Gratitude: Celebrating Each Other

To further strengthen the spirit of appreciation, a “Wall of Gratitude” was set up at properties, providing a space for employees to express messages of thanks, encouragement, and celebration for the organisation and for one another.

The Wall became a living testament to the relationships, support, and camaraderie that define our culture. Reading the messages, one thing becomes wonderfully clear: our people don’t just work together—they genuinely care about each other. That’s the foundation of everything we achieve.

Fostering Unity, Pride, and Belonging

The combination of activities—the global toast, the time capsule, and the Wall of Gratitude—fostered a deep sense of unity, pride, and belonging across all teams. It wasn’t just a celebration of the past 30 years, but an affirmation of the values and people who will carry Millennium Hotels and Resorts forward into the next chapter.

Moments like these remind us why we do what we do. Hospitality is about connection, warmth, and creating experiences that matter. On 14 November, we turned that ethos inward, celebrating ourselves and the extraordinary community we’ve built together.

Here’s to the Next 30 Years

Thank you to everyone who participated in the “Cheers to 30 Years” Global Toast Party. Your energy, gratitude, and optimism for the future are what make Millennium Hotels & Resorts not just a company, but a family.

As we celebrate this milestone and look toward the next 30 years, we do so with confidence, excitement, and pride in the legacy we’re building together. Here’s to all the incredible things we will achieve in the years ahead.

Growing Green Together: Grand Copthorne Waterfront Hotel Singapore’s Terrarium Workshop

Growing Green Together: Grand Copthorne Waterfront Hotel Singapore’s Terrarium Workshop

Picture this: Heads of Departments at Grand Copthorne Waterfront Hotel Singapore gathered around tables, hands in soil, carefully layering plants and decorative elements to create self-sustaining miniature ecosystems. The Terrarium Workshop wasn’t just team building. It was a living metaphor for everything the property is working to achieve.

And those terrariums? They’re now displayed throughout the hotel, daily reminders that sustainability is beautiful, tangible, and deeply woven into this team’s culture.

Learning by Making

Each participant crafted their own terrarium, building tiny gardens that sustain themselves through balanced, cyclical processes. Just as these miniature ecosystems thrive through natural systems, Grand Copthorne Waterfront Hotel Singapore is building operations that respect nature’s logic: reduce waste, create cycles, generate long-term value.

For the Heads of Departments, the workshop offered something rare: space to pause, connect with nature, and reflect on the bigger picture whilst creating something genuinely beautiful. Education meets meditation meets creativity.

Green Signals Throughout the Property

Those terrariums are everywhere now. Guests and colleagues spot them across various touchpoints, and they invite a moment of pause, appreciation, and reflection. For guests, they’re subtle signals that this hotel takes environmental responsibility seriously. For team members, they’re daily reminders that sustainability isn’t corporate policy—it’s culture.

The visibility matters. These aren’t hidden initiatives documented in reports. They’re living, growing evidence of commitment.

Building Culture Through Creativity

The brilliance of the terrarium workshop is that it treats sustainability as something to explore and celebrate, not comply with. By bringing Heads of Departments together for this hands-on experience, Grand Copthorne Waterfront Hotel Singapore reinforced that environmental stewardship is everyone’s responsibility, across all departments, at all levels.

When operations, guest services, F&B, and housekeeping leaders are literally building ecosystems together, that shared experience translates into better collaboration, stronger alignment, and deeper commitment to the property’s green vision.

Urban Oasis in Action

Grand Copthorne Waterfront Hotel Singapore positions itself as an “urban oasis by the river,” and initiatives like the terrarium workshop demonstrate what that means beyond location. It’s about creating a property that respects and celebrates the natural environment, even in the heart of the city.

As we celebrate Millennium Hotels and Resorts’ 30 years and look to the future, this is the kind of creative, meaningful engagement that builds cultures strong enough to sustain long-term transformation. The team at Grand Copthorne Waterfront Hotel Singapore isn’t just talking about sustainability. They’re growing it.

Five Partnerships, One Vision: M Social Hotel Paris Raises the Bar for Sustainable Hospitality

Five Partnerships, One Vision: M Social Hotel Paris Raises the Bar for Sustainable Hospitality

M Social Hotel Paris earned the prestigious Clef Verte (Green Key) certification for the first time in 2025, joining an elite group of 2,428 properties in France committed to sustainable tourism and dining. Months of dedicated work across every department, from energy optimisation and waste reduction to responsible sourcing and community engagement, made this milestone possible.

But here’s what makes this achievement remarkable: it wasn’t built on a single initiative. It was built on five strategic partnerships, each one addressing a different piece of the sustainability puzzle. This is systems thinking in action.

Closing the Loop with Les Alchimistes

Every week, organic food scraps from Papillons & Co travel to Les Alchimistes, where they’re transformed into nutrient-rich compost for regenerative agriculture. Ingredients sourced from local producers return to the soil, enriching the very farms that supply the restaurant.

It’s a perfect circle. Plate to earth to farm to plate. Sustainability as ecosystem regeneration.

Protecting Pollinators with Un Toit Pour Les Abeilles

In 2025, M Social Hotel Paris renewed its partnership with Un Toit Pour Les Abeilles, sponsoring a dedicated beehive to support bee populations and pollinator-friendly ecosystems. Earlier this year, the team celebrated the first honey harvest: natural, artisanal, and now available to guests.

Beyond the product, the initiative raises awareness amongst employees and visitors about the critical role pollinators play in maintaining biodiversity. Education that creates lasting impact.

Turning Soap into Social Impact with SapoCycle

Through SapoCycle, discarded solid soaps from guest rooms are collected, sanitised, and redistributed to families in need through humanitarian networks worldwide. Environmental responsibility meets human dignity. Landfill waste becomes public health support.

Every small action can create meaningful change. The team at M Social Hotel Paris proves it daily.

Every Umbrella Plants a Tree with Dripdrop

Here’s the concept: every time a guest borrows an umbrella, a tree is planted. M Social Hotel Paris has contributed to planting 1,114 mangrove trees in Mozambique as part of a global milestone of one million trees. The partnership with Dripdrop also recovers plastic waste from nature through RePurpose Global.

Rain in Paris becomes reforestation in Mozambique. Small, everyday actions leading to lasting, global impact.

Entertainment and Energy

The night was filled with laughter and connection. Lively games, including a dance segment that had the crowd roaring with laughter, brought levity to the evening. Soulful live vocals by the talented Elvira Arul added elegance and emotion to the room.

A Roadmap for Our Future

The Clef Verte certification marks both accomplishment and beginning. It demonstrates what happens when sustainability isn’t treated as a compliance exercise but as a network of strategic partnerships, each one amplifying the others.

For those of us across the Millennium Hotels and Resorts family, as we celebrate 30 years and build toward the next 30, this is the blueprint. M Social Hotel Paris shows us that sustainability is mindset, strategy, and collaboration working together.

Leading by Example: Grand Copthorne Waterfront Hotel Singapore’s Award-Winning Sustainability Journey

Leading by Example: Grand Copthorne Waterfront Hotel Singapore’s Award-Winning Sustainability Journey

Grand Copthorne Waterfront Hotel Singapore isn’t just talking about sustainability. They’re rewriting what’s possible. With SACEOS Gold certification, GSTC recognition, ISO 14001 Environmental Management certification, and the Green Mark GoldPLUS Award, this property has become a benchmark for responsible hospitality in Singapore and beyond.

These certifications represent thousands of daily decisions, every department working in harmony to prove that world-class hospitality and environmental responsibility are not opposing forces – they are perfect partners.

The Infrastructure of the Future, Today

Walk through Grand Copthorne Waterfront Hotel Singapore and you’re seeing the future of hotels. LED lighting throughout. EC fan motors. High-efficiency air filters. Modernised lifts with regenerative technology cutting energy use by up to 75% by converting motion into power. Smart control thermostats saving 25% energy by learning from occupancy patterns, all without guests noticing a thing.

Intelligent sensors monitor water and lighting systems across the property, catching inefficiencies before they become problems. This isn’t sustainability as add-on. This is sustainability as foundation.

Eliminating Single-Use Plastics

The team has systematically removed single-use plastics across operations. In-room filtered drinking water dispensers replace plastic bottles. The Purezza Premium Water Service extends this commitment across F&B outlets and meeting spaces. Wooden, biodegradable alternatives have replaced plastic cutlery, straws, and containers.

Thousands of single-use items diverted from landfill every single month – a commitment that is transforming how the property operates.

Farm to Table, Literally

Here’s something special: onsite hydroponic systems growing herbs and greens used in the kitchens. Farm-to-table isn’t a marketing phrase here – it is the view from the kitchen window. Zero food miles. Peak freshness. Flavours at their absolute cleanest and most vibrant.

The culinary team sources locally, renewably, and ethically across all menus, proving that responsible sourcing doesn’t limit creativity. It elevates it.

A Culture, Not a Checklist

Sustainability at Grand Copthorne Waterfront Hotel Singapore runs deeper than operations. The team participates actively in eco-volunteerism. FSC-certified paper is standard. Digital platforms are prioritised. The GO GREEN initiative encourages reduced linen and towel replacement. Bamboo key cards replace plastic versions. Green cleaning protocols use certified, non-toxic, biodegradable solutions.

Even meeting delegates receive education on waste management and sustainability reporting, taking these practices back to their own organisations. The ripple effect extends far beyond the property itself.

EV chargers support the shift to electric vehicles. Pilates and Yoga programmes recognise that sustainability includes human wellbeing. Every detail connects to a larger vision.

Smart room control thermostats save up to 25% energy by adjusting to occupancy patterns
Smart room control thermostats save up to 25% energy by adjusting to occupancy patterns
What This Means for Our Future

As Millennium Hotels and Resorts celebrates 30 years and charts the course for our next chapter, Grand Copthorne Waterfront Hotel Singapore shows us what is possible when sustainability becomes identity. The engineers optimising energy systems, the housekeepers using green cleaning solutions, the chefs sourcing responsibly, the events team educating delegates – this is a team creating the blueprint we are all following.

Singapore’s urban oasis by the river continues to demonstrate that greener, smarter hospitality isn’t compromise. It is the future we’re building together.

Appreciating the Team That Makes It All Shine: Housekeeping Appreciation Day 2025 at Copthorne Hotel Slough-Windsor

Appreciating the Team That Makes It All Shine: Housekeeping Appreciation Day 2025 at Copthorne Hotel Slough-Windsor

On 26 September 2025, the housekeeping team at Copthorne Hotel Slough-Windsor gathered for a celebration that was long overdue: Housekeeping Appreciation Day. It was an afternoon dedicated to recognising the vital work of the people who ensure that every guest room, corridor, and public space reflects the care and quality that define our hospitality.

The celebration was made even more special by a creative twist: a towel-folding art competition that showcased the talent, imagination, and pride of the team.

A Competition That Sparked Creativity

Two weeks before the event, the housekeeping team was invited to participate in a towel-folding art competition. The challenge was simple: create something beautiful using towels, capture it in a photo, and submit it for consideration.

Over the following days, team members enthusiastically submitted photos of their beautifully crafted designs. The entries were diverse and imaginative, ranging from elegant swans and intricate flowers to whimsical animals and creative abstract shapes. Each submission reflected the care and attention to detail that the team brings to their work every day.

The Big Reveal

The team was warmly welcomed on 26 September with refreshing drinks, and the atmosphere was one of anticipation and excitement. The highlight of the afternoon was the long-awaited reveal of the competition results.

All submitted towel-art photos were displayed on the screen, allowing the team to admire each creation together. It created a lively and supportive atmosphere as everyone enjoyed seeing the talent within their group. Colleagues applauded each other’s work, shared compliments, and celebrated the creativity on display.

The winner was kept a surprise until the final moment, and when the announcement came, it was met with heartfelt cheers and applause. Hotel General Manager Sachin Rana proudly presented the winner with a certificate and a £20 gift voucher in recognition of their creativity and effort.

Celebrating the People Behind the Shine

The housekeeping team is largely comprised of hardworking, dedicated women, along with capable and strong male members who contribute equally to the team’s success. Their combined efforts play a vital role in maintaining the hotel’s cleanliness, comfort, and exceptional guest experience.

Housekeeping is often behind-the-scenes work, but its impact is felt in every corner of the property. Clean, welcoming spaces are foundational to hospitality, and the team’s commitment to excellence ensures that guests feel cared for from the moment they arrive.

Housekeeping Appreciation Day was an opportunity to bring that work into the spotlight and to say, clearly and warmly: we see you, we value you, and we’re grateful for everything you do.

An Afternoon to Remember

The celebration concluded with an hour-long break featuring light bites, special pastries, and warm conversations with Hotel Manager Sachin Rana and the HR team. Memorable group photos captured the joy and camaraderie of the afternoon, creating keepsakes that the team will treasure.

It was a joyful and well-deserved celebration for a team that works tirelessly to make the hotel shine every single day.

As we celebrate 30 years of Millennium Hotels and Resorts and look to the future, we’re reminded that exceptional hospitality is built on the dedication of teams like this. Thank you to the housekeeping team at Copthorne Hotel Slough-Windsor for your creativity, your pride, and everything you do to make the hotel shine. You are the foundation of exceptional guest experiences, and we’re proud to celebrate you.

Halloween Spirit Lights Up Copthorne Hotel Slough-Windsor: Pumpkin Carving Competition Brings Joy to Guests and Team

At Copthorne Hotel Slough-Windsor, the annual Halloween Pumpkin Carving Competition has become a beloved tradition, and this year’s event was the most spirited yet. The competition brought together all departments in a celebration of creativity, collaboration, and festive fun that delighted guests and team members alike.

Three Days to Create Halloween Magic

On 27 October, the HR team distributed pumpkins to all departments, giving everyone three days to plan, carve, and perfect their creations. The challenge was simple: create the most impressive pumpkin design whilst juggling daily responsibilities.

Team members enthusiastically dedicated time between their tasks to bring imaginative designs to life. Some went for classic jack-o’-lantern faces, others created intricate patterns, and a few pushed the boundaries with ambitious artistic visions. The energy and creativity across departments was palpable.

A Lobby Transformed

On 30 October, the beautifully carved pumpkins were displayed in the lobby, transforming the space into a vibrant and festive Halloween showcase. The Front Office team prepared voting slips, whilst the F&B team arranged an eye-catching display table that highlighted each pumpkin’s unique character.

The display created a wonderful atmosphere for guests, who were invited to cast their votes for the best pumpkin throughout the day. Participation was lively, with guests engaging enthusiastically in the competition and admiring the creativity on show.

And the Winners Are…

When the votes were tallied, the Kitchen team clinched first place with an impressive 42 votes, demonstrating that their creativity extends well beyond culinary excellence. The Finance team secured second place, whilst the F&B team took third.

Winners were rewarded with boxes of chocolates, adding a sweet finish to the competition. But beyond the prizes, the real reward was the joy, laughter, and team spirit that the event generated across the property.

Building Connection Through Celebration

What makes the Halloween Pumpkin Carving Competition special isn’t just the creative output, it is the way it brings people together. All departments participated, making the event truly inclusive and cross-functional. Team members who might not usually collaborate found themselves admiring each other’s work, sharing carving tips, and celebrating together.

For guests, the competition created a memorable experience that added warmth and personality to their stay. For the team, it provided a moment to step away from daily operations, express creativity, and connect with colleagues in a lighthearted, festive way.

Celebrating the Season Together

Events like the Halloween Pumpkin Carving Competition remind us that hospitality is built on moments of joy, connection, and shared celebration. When teams come together to create something fun and engaging, it strengthens relationships, lifts morale, and creates an environment where people genuinely enjoy working together.

As we celebrate Millennium Hotels and Resorts’ 30 years and look toward the future, moments like these remind us that hospitality is built on joy, creativity, and genuine connection. Congratulations to the Kitchen team on their well-deserved victory, and to the entire team at Copthorne Hotel Slough-Windsor for making this year’s competition the most spirited yet.

Walk into the Millennium Ancient Town: Millennium Hotel Wuxi’s Team-Building Journey

Millennium Hotel Wuxi recently organised a staff team-building activity that combined cultural exploration with team connection, taking employees to the scenic and historically rich Yaohu Ancient Town. Themed “Walk into the Millennium Ancient Town, Build a Warm Team,” the outing provided an opportunity for staff to step away from daily routines, relax amongst beautiful landscapes, and strengthen the bonds that make their work together meaningful.

A People-Oriented Approach to Wellbeing

The ancient town visit reflects Millennium Hotel Wuxi’s consistent commitment to a people-oriented management philosophy. The hotel recognises that employees’ physical and mental health, alongside strong team cohesion, are fundamental to delivering exceptional guest experiences and maintaining a positive workplace culture.

By creating opportunities for staff to unwind, connect with colleagues outside the work environment, and experience the rich cultural heritage of the region, the hotel invests in the wellbeing and morale of its team. These moments of relaxation and exploration allow employees to return to their roles refreshed and energised.

Building Team Cohesion Through Shared Experiences

The team-building activity served multiple purposes beyond simply providing a break from work. Walking through the ancient town together, employees had the chance to strengthen relationships, build trust, and develop a deeper sense of belonging to the Millennium Hotel Wuxi family.

Shared experiences like this create lasting memories and forge connections that translate into better collaboration, communication, and support in day-to-day operations. Movement, Balance, and Belonging: M Social Hotel Phuket’s Minibreaks Programme

Movement, Balance, and Belonging: M Social Hotel Phuket’s Minibreaks Programme

At M Social Hotel Phuket, wellbeing isn’t an afterthought – it’s woven into the rhythm of work through the Minibreaks programme, a comprehensive initiative designed to enhance the health, balance, and quality of life for all buddies.

The programme recognises that exceptional hospitality begins with people who feel physically energised, mentally balanced, and genuinely supported. Through regular running activities, team sports, and in-house workouts, M Social Hotel Phuket is creating a culture where movement, connection, and wellbeing are part of everyday life.

Running Together, Every Month

Every month, M Social Hotel Phuket invites buddies to join running activities, with “Running Day” held twice a week at Bang Wad Dam. The early morning runs provide an opportunity to step away from the demands of the hotel, breathe in fresh air, and build camaraderie with colleagues.

For many buddies, these runs offer more than physical exercise – they create space for mental clarity, stress relief, and connection with the natural beauty of Phuket. Running side by side, buddies build relationships that extend beyond their departments, strengthening the sense of community across the property.

The HR team ensures that every running session starts with a warm welcome, preparing thoughtful items to serve buddies in the early morning and setting a positive tone for the day ahead.

Team Sports for Team Spirit

During special months, M Social Hotel Phuket arranges various team sports activities, including volleyball matches and football matches. These events serve multiple purposes: they strengthen teamwork, build a winning spirit, and promote harmony in the workplace.

Team sports require communication, trust, and collaboration – qualities that translate directly into better working relationships on the property. When buddies compete together, support each other, and celebrate victories as a team, they carry that energy back into their daily roles.

Supporting Mental Health Through Movement

To support mental health, the HR team collaborates with the Front Office-Recreation team to lead in-house workout sessions for buddies on a regular basis. These sessions make fitness accessible and convenient, removing barriers that might otherwise prevent buddies from prioritising their physical and mental wellbeing.

Regular physical activity is proven to reduce stress, improve mood, and enhance overall mental health. By bringing workouts directly to buddies through in-house sessions, M Social Hotel Phuket ensures that everyone has the opportunity to benefit, regardless of their schedule or fitness level.

A Commitment to Quality of Life

The Minibreaks programme reflects M Social Hotel Phuket’s commitment to enhancing the overall quality of life for buddies. It acknowledges that hospitality work can be demanding, both physically and mentally, and that supporting wellbeing requires intentional, consistent effort.

By encouraging buddies to relieve stress, relax, and maintain a healthy balance between work and personal life, the property is investing in the long-term health and happiness of its team. This investment pays dividends in engagement, morale, and the quality of service that buddies provide to guests.

Building a Culture of Wellbeing

What makes the Minibreaks programme special isn’t just the activities themselves – it’s the culture they represent. M Social Hotel Phuket has built an environment where well-being is valued, movement is encouraged, and buddies feel supported in taking care of themselves.

The programme demonstrates that wellbeing isn’t a perk, it’s a priority. And when people feel healthy, balanced, and connected, they bring their best selves to work every day.

As we celebrate 30 years of Millennium Hotels and Resorts and build toward the next chapter, M Social Hotel Phuket reminds us that when we invest in our people’s well-being, we’re investing in our future. The Minibreaks programme is a wonderful example of what is possible when care becomes culture.
