Building Community from Day One: M Social Hotel Phuket’s Town Hall Events Welcome New Buddies

At M Social Hotel Phuket, welcoming new team members isn’t just an HR formality, it’s a celebration of community, collaboration, and the people who make the property extraordinary. Through their regular Town Hall Events for Buddies, the team has created a warm, inclusive tradition that sets the tone for every new joiner’s journey with the hotel.

A Twice-Monthly Tradition

Held on the 1st and 16th of every month, these Town Hall events coincide with new buddy hiring dates, when the HR-Training team provides the Corporate Orientation Programme. New buddies participate in a full-day training session, learning about the hotel’s culture, standards, and values, before wrapping up the day with a mocktail session.

It’s a thoughtful way to create a welcoming introduction to the hotel, helping new team members feel connected from the very first day.

More Than Onboarding

The Town Hall serves multiple purposes beyond orientation. It provides a platform to share updates, celebrate achievements, and align on upcoming initiatives. Open discussions and team recognitions create a positive atmosphere that reinforces the spirit of community and teamwork at M Social Hotel Phuket.

Importantly, the event also helps break the ice between the Executive Committee and new buddies. By creating informal, engaging touchpoints between leadership and new joiners, the hotel strengthens relationships and builds trust from the start.

For M Social Hotel Phuket, this approach is part of what sets them apart as an employer of choice. The Town Hall is about making people feel valued, heard, and genuinely excited to be part of the team.

Notable New Joiners
This year, M Social Hotel Phuket has welcomed impressive new talent who will play key roles in building a stronger team and driving revenue growth. Pongratchada Sarapoke has joined as Assistant Director of Sales (BKK), bringing expertise that will strengthen the hotel’s presence in the Bangkok market. Darika Laotriyanon has taken on the role of Marketing Communications Manager, bringing fresh perspective and strategic insight to the property’s marketing efforts.

Both are excellent examples of the calibre of professionals choosing to join the M Social Hotel Phuket family, and the Town Hall events ensure they feel welcomed, supported, and ready to contribute from day one.

Fostering a Culture of Belonging

What makes the Town Hall events special isn’t the format, it’s the intention behind them. The team at M Social Hotel Phuket understands that strong communities are built through consistent, genuine effort. By creating regular opportunities for connection, celebration, and dialogue, they ensure that every buddy, whether new or experienced, feels like they truly belong.

As we celebrate 30 years of Millennium Hotels and Resorts and look to the future, initiatives like this remind us that our strength lies in our people and the communities we build. Well done to the M Social Hotel Phuket team for creating a culture where people aren’t just hired, but truly welcomed.
