A Two-Hour Clean-Up at Bang Wad Dam with M Social Hotel Phuket

On 8 July 2026, the team from M Social Hotel Phuket spent two hours in the late afternoon at Bang Wad Dam, collecting litter along the scenic routes. The clean-up ran from 4.00pm to 6.00pm as part of the hotel’s Save the Planet commitment.

Two Hours on the Scenic Routes

The initiative was more than a clean-up. It was framed as a call to action on environmental responsibility and community engagement. Walking the scenic routes around the dam, the team collected litter and ensured it was properly disposed of, contributing to the upkeep of one of Phuket’s natural assets while spending time together outdoors.

Every Step Counts

The hotel describes the event as a demonstration of what collective action can achieve. At M Social Hotel Phuket, the view is that every step taken, every piece of litter collected and every helping hand is a stride towards a cleaner and more sustainable future for the community, and that the impact of a day like this extends well beyond the workplace.

Two Singapore Hotels Recognised by Tatler and Tripadvisor

Four recognitions have landed across Copthorne King’s Hotel Singapore and Orchard Hotel Singapore, spanning three restaurants and one hotel-wide award. Three come from Tatler and one from Tripadvisor.

What Is Tatler Best Spotlight

The Tatler Best Spotlight Singapore recognition is part of Tatler Best, Tatler Asia’s hospitality platform covering hotels, restaurants and bars. Tatler describes Tatler Best as an expert-curated guide to exceptional hospitality, drawing on its regional editorial teams, critics, industry experts and a wider jury network.

Importantly, Tatler Spotlight is different from winning one of the main Tatler Best-in-Class awards. For 2026, Tatler Singapore has several levels of recognition: the Best 20 Restaurants, Best 20 Bars, Best 10 Hotels, specific Best-in-Class awards such as Restaurant/Hotel of the Year and Best Service, and then Tatler Spotlight recognition. A Tatler Spotlight essentially means that the establishment has been selected and highlighted by Tatler as a noteworthy hospitality venue in its Singapore guide.

Durians, Health Screenings and a Townhall at M Hotel Singapore City Centre

July was a busy month behind the scenes at M Hotel Singapore City Centre. Four separate occasions brought the team together, from a durian feast at M Bar to a quarterly townhall, taking in a tribute to the security team and a run of wellness activities along the way.

Durian Fest, 28 July 2026

With the hotel running at high occupancy, the team has been working around the clock, and the hotel marked that effort with a durian party at M Bar. Every department was recognised for the work behind the hotel’s performance, and the feast was offered as a token of appreciation for that commitment.

International Security Day, 24 July 2026

From AI-powered threat detection and cybersecurity to proactive risk assessment, the role of security professionals has rarely been more central. The hotels that lead are those that build security into every stage of the guest journey, creating safe and seamless experiences from the outset.

The Security team at M Hotel Singapore City Centre serves as the first line of defence and the reassuring presence that gives guests peace of mind. As masters of discretion, experts in crisis management and guardians of trust, their vigilance goes beyond preventing incidents. It builds the confidence that underpins a good stay. Working largely behind the scenes, they are the colleagues whose professionalism makes every stay not only memorable, but secure.

Self-Care Day Wellness Initiatives

In conjunction with Self-Care Day on 24 July, M Hotel Singapore City Centre concluded its July employee wellness initiatives, reinforcing its commitment to a healthy and supportive workplace.

On 16 July, employees were offered a complimentary annual health screening covering key indicators including BMI, blood pressure, blood glucose and a full lipid profile. Participation was encouraging, with many team members taking the opportunity to better understand their health. On 23 July, the hotel welcomed Dr. Toh Chee Keong, Medical Oncologist, who shared insights on cancer awareness, risk factors and the importance of early detection. The session was complemented by practical guidance on financial planning, equipping employees to better safeguard their long-term well-being and that of their families.

These initiatives were made possible by the planning of the Human Resources team, who coordinated with healthcare partners, organised the logistics, communicated updates and assisted employees through registration.

Q2 Staff Townhall, 1 July 2026

With the hotel’s transformation under way, the townhall shared progress on the ongoing renovation, as concepts and artist impressions begin taking shape across the property.

The occasion also celebrated the hotel’s recent industry accolades, which reflect the team’s care and commitment to guests. As the hotel continues to grow, the M Hotel Singapore City Centre family welcomed its newest team members, whose fresh perspectives will support the hotel’s continued evolution.

A Booth, a Coffee and 100 New Members

The hotel welcomed runners and event guests to its interactive anniversary booth, where participants enjoyed complimentary freshly brewed coffee and learned more about the hotel’s offerings, upcoming promotions and the benefits of becoming a MyMillennium member. The activation generated approximately 100 new MyMillennium membership sign-ups during the event, and served as a place to connect with the community and share the hospitality that has defined the hotel for 32 years.

As an event partner, the hotel received promotional exposure through event banners, the official race arch, stage backdrop displays, LED video loop presentations, live acknowledgements from the event hosts, and cross-promotional campaigns across social media.

The fun run is the opening chapter of a month-long anniversary celebration, with exclusive room and dining promotions, social media contests, anniversary events and partner appreciation initiatives still to come.
