Millennium Resort Hangzhou Joins the MIZUNO Race Trail

On 28 March 2026, Millennium Resort Hangzhou elevated its “Hotel + Outdoor” concept by co-hosting the MIZUNO Sisyphus Loop Race in partnership with Hangzhou West Lake Trail and international sports brand MIZUNO. 

The event brought together trail running enthusiasts for a 15-kilometre course through one of Hangzhou’s most iconic scenic landscapes, blending sport, nature, and destination into a single immersive experience.

The Route

The course started and ended at Millennium Resort Hangzhou’s grand lawn, winding through the hotel’s exclusive trail and across the core scenery of the Jiuxi Scenic Area. Runners moved through mountain and waterside terrain, past Longjing tea fields and ancient wooden tea paths, and experienced the natural character of the area from within it.

An Innovative Format

The race adopted a circular format: three kilometres of running followed by 4 sets of anaerobic training, repeated five times in total. The structure combined endurance with strength work, making the event both a competitive and physical challenge for participants.

Hotel Guests and Media on the Trail
As part of the tri-branded collaboration between the resort, Hangzhou West Lake Trail and MIZUNO, three exclusive spots were reserved for hotel in-house guests and local media. Participants had the opportunity to experience the natural beauty and distinctive character of Jiuxi firsthand, traversing the same trail as competitive runners. The event was a concrete expression of the resort’s approach: creating stays that extend from comfortable rooms into the landscape that surrounds them. It is not the last time Millennium Resort Hangzhou intends to take guests outdoors.
