Grand Millennium Shanghai HongQiao Hosts Taste of Thailand

Grand Millennium Shanghai HongQiao has launched the Taste of Thailand Food Festival at O’Cafe, in partnership with the Royal Thai Consulate-General in Shanghai and the Tourism Authority of Thailand. The festival opened on 8 May 2026 and runs until 29 August 2026.
An Opening Rooted in Cultural Exchange
The opening ceremony welcomed representatives from the Royal Thai Consulate-General, Seagull Holding Group, Millennium Hotels and Resorts, and the hotel’s management team. Consul-General Ms Tachaphorn Suntrajarn described Thai cuisine as a bridge for cultural exchange and expressed her hope that more Chinese visitors would discover Thailand through its culinary traditions. General Manager Mr Rayee Zhao noted that the festival also marks the beginning of the hotel’s 20th anniversary celebrations in 2026.
A Live Showcase of Thai Flavours
Guests enjoyed a live cooking demonstration by visiting Thai Chef Anna, alongside a Thai buffet of signature dishes including Tom Yum Goong, Pad Thai, Thai Curry Crab, Bangkok Volcano Pork Ribs, and Mango Sticky Rice.
Festival Details

The Taste of Thailand Food Festival runs until 29 August 2026, every Friday and Saturday from 18:00 to 21:00, at O’Cafe on Level 1.

As the hotel begins its 20th anniversary year, the festival sets a celebratory tone rooted in cultural connection.
