In May 2026, Millennium Hotels and Resorts New Zealand took another step in reducing waste and supporting its communities, donating 317 uniform items, weighing 109 kilogrammes, to the charity Dress for Success.

A Donation With Purpose

Dress for Success helps women achieve economic independence through professional clothing, career support, and development programmes. The donation included new, unused, non-branded items such as jackets, shirts, trousers, and skirts, no longer needed after uniform updates across the New Zealand hotels. Rather than going to landfill, the items now support women preparing for employment.

The initiative reduced waste and disposal costs while supporting a meaningful community outcome. The team continues to explore further donations and recycling options for uniforms no longer suitable for wear.
