M Social Hotel Singapore and Studio M Hotel Singapore welcome a new chapter in leadership.

With effect from 1 February 2026, Faiz Alam has been appointed Cluster General Manager, overseeing both properties. Bringing with him over three decades of international hospitality experience, Faiz is set to lead two of Millennium Hotels and Resorts’ most distinctive lifestyle brands into their next phase of growth.

A Track Record Built Across Markets

Faiz began his career at iconic Singapore properties, including Raffles Hotel Singapore and Goodwood Park Hotel Singapore, before progressing into senior leadership roles with Starwood and Marriott International across Singapore, Malaysia and India. His experience includes key positions at Le Méridien Kuala Lumpur and leadership roles in India, where he served as Complex General Manager for Sheraton Grand and Aloft Bengaluru, overseeing the successful pre-opening of both properties.

Most recently, Faiz led the transformation of Wyndham to Aloft Singapore Novena, the world’s largest Aloft property and a leading lifestyle brand under Marriott International. His achievements have been widely recognised: he was named General Manager of the Year 2016 for Asia Pacific by Marriott International and General Manager of the Year 2015 for Starwood Southeast Asia.

A Positive Impact Across the Cluster

In the nine months leading up to his formal appointment, Faiz has already driven strong momentum across both properties. Revenue, RevPAR, and Gross Operating Profit all saw measurable improvements, while TripAdvisor rankings climbed for both hotels.

Beyond financial performance, Faiz placed a strong emphasis on culture, fostering a more cohesive environment, strengthening leadership teams, and empowering team members to contribute meaningfully and grow in their roles.

The result is a cluster that is not only performing more strongly commercially, but also operating with a renewed sense of alignment and shared purpose.

Outside of work, Faiz is passionate about travel, golf and fitness, which speaks to the same energy and discipline he brings to his leadership.
