A Career Across Continents

Chef Chong’s culinary career began in Singapore, where he trained under the mentorship of a Hong Kong chef. He later returned to Malaysia in the 1980s to further hone his craft at the Banker Clubs in Amoda Building. His passion for culinary excellence subsequently took him to Singapore, the United States and the United Kingdom, enriching his knowledge of flavours, techniques and culinary traditions from around the world.

For Chef Chong, cooking is more than a profession. It is a treasured craft, a lifelong pursuit that has enabled him to explore the world, build meaningful connections and continuously refine his artistry through every experience.

Cantonese Roots, Malaysian Accents

Specialising in Cantonese cuisine with Malaysian influences, Chef Chong combines the essence of traditional wok craftsmanship with insights gained from his extensive international experience. The result is a distinctive culinary style that honours heritage while embracing innovation and depth of flavour.
