A Feast for the Blessed Month at Grand Millennium Kuala Lumpur

This season marks a meaningful milestone with the debut of two newly appointed culinary leaders: Executive Chef Mustapha Awang, fondly known as Chef Muss, and Sous Chef Andri bin Abdul Hadi. Together, they present an evening buffet, “A Feast for the Blessed Month,” thoughtfully crafted to celebrate regional flavours, honour deep-rooted culinary heritage, and embody the true spirit of togetherness.

A Culinary Journey Along the Silk Road

The story of this year’s menu begins with a sophisticated fusion of influences. Drawing inspiration from the historic Silk Road and the rich tapestry of Nusantara, the chefs have achieved a harmonious balance between international culinary exposure and traditional heritage cooking. Every dish is a testament to their shared commitment to creating meaningful dining experiences through craftsmanship and diversity.

The Duo’s Signature Masterpieces:

  • Xinjiang-style Imperial Roasted Whole Lamb: A nod to the bold, spiced flavours of the Silk Road.
  • Silk Road Spiced-Grilled Lamb Skewers: Perfectly charred and aromatically seasoned.
  • Pak Muss Beef Noodle Soup: A personal signature from Chef Muss that offers comfort in every spoonful.
  • ‘Ayam Percik Rendang Tradisi’ Andri: A heritage-rich creation from Sous Chef Andri.
  • Regional Specialities: The menu further explores local depths with Pulled Beef Brisket Bao Buns, Hinava Nusantara, Asam Pedas Ekor Masterpiece, ‘Daging Bakar Danok’ Royale, ‘Daging Mata Ayer Perigi’, and ‘Botok Botok Tenggiri Mantap’.
Rooted in Tradition, Inspired by the World

Beyond these curated signatures, the buffet serves as a gateway to the nostalgic flavours of the Malaysian kampung. Guests can immerse themselves in heritage recipes including ‘Lemang,’ ‘Ketupat,’ and ‘Ketupat Palas’. These are paired with traditional staples like ‘Daging Bakar Danok,’ ‘Asam Pedas Ekor,’ and both Chicken and Beef ‘Serunding’ (floss). For those seeking classic warmth, the ‘Ikan Keli Salai Masak Lemak’ stands as a highlight among various traditional preparations.

The narrative expands globally with an extensive range of international offerings. Guests can journey through Western comfort with Chicken Cacciatore, Seabass Fillet in Fennel Raisin Sauce, and Italian Lamb Osso Buco. The exploration continues with a dedicated Japanese selection featuring sushi, maki, nigiri, and cold soba. Furthermore, Indian and Chinese-inspired dishes, such as Salted Egg Yolk Chicken with Chili and Curry Leaves and ‘Kam Heong’ Lala, ensure a truly inclusive feast.

An Atmosphere of Celebration

The experience is designed to be immersive, featuring live action stations, a fresh salad bar, and a decadent dessert spread where traditional ‘kuih’ meets international sweets. To elevate the evening, the air is filled with the soulful sounds of live ghazal music, creating a warm and welcoming environment perfect for families, friends, and group gatherings.
