Millennium Hotels and Resorts UK was honoured to be invited by The Royal Foundation of The Prince and Princess of Wales to attend the Homewards Year Three anniversary events held at Lambeth Palace and Tate Modern in London. The invitation recognised the contribution of partners to Homewards, a five-year programme founded by Prince William that aims to make homelessness rare, brief and unrepeated through collaboration, early intervention and sustainable employment opportunities.

Milestones Marked at the Anniversary

Together with business leaders, charities and public-sector organisations, the team celebrated a set of milestones. Over 2,400 individuals have benefited from early support, resulting in more than 70 families securing stable housing and over 250 people obtaining employment.

Creating Employment Pathways

As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility and its G.E.T. philosophy, which draws on the cultural ethos of Growth, Entrepreneurship and Transformation, Millennium Hotels and Resorts UK is dedicated to creating employment pathways for those facing barriers. In partnership with the Department for Work and Pensions, the team concluded a pilot employability programme in selected London hotels, identifying effective strategies to support individuals at risk of homelessness. This included Trauma-Informed Practice training for hotel leaders to foster inclusive workplaces.

Building On the Pilot

Building on this experience, the team will collaborate with specialist partners to enhance its employability offerings, ensuring sustainable career pathways for candidates in the hospitality sector. Millennium Hotels and Resorts UK remains committed to innovative partnerships that create opportunities and empower individuals to build brighter futures through meaningful employment.
