From Princess Terrace, meet Chef Pit: a Penang cuisine specialist with over 25 years of culinary experience, including 16 years at Copthorne King’s Hotel Singapore. A master of wok hei (the prized “breath of the wok”), Chef Pit guards the secret recipe behind the restaurant’s Signature Penang Char Kway Teow: flat rice noodles tossed with prawns, Chinese sausage, bean sprouts, egg and chives, kissed with smoky aroma.
Chef Pit handcrafts sauces from scratch, including sambal belacan and his house Char Kway Teow sauce, handling seafood and meats with precision. His dedication to authentic Penang flavours has made Princess Terrace a beloved destination for genuine Malaysian cuisine.
Kamila Dziwanowska | Housekeeping Supervisor
