Hosting the Ambassador of Indonesia at The Buffet Restaurant
M Hotel Singapore City Centre had the honour of welcoming the Ambassador of Indonesia, Deputy Ambassador, and the ladies from KCBI Singapore, led by Ibu Desy Windanarni Wilson, for a delightful Peranakan lunch at The Buffet Restaurant.
The afternoon was filled with vibrant flavours and warm company as guests enjoyed the rich, aromatic, and soulful dishes of Peranakan culture. It was a powerful reminder that hospitality is about more than just serving food—it’s about creating a welcoming space for connection, whether for casual afternoons or the most distinguished occasions.
Seeing The Buffet Restaurant become a space for such meaningful connection over a shared meal is truly inspirational. Moments like these demonstrate the importance of the work the team does every day.

When Singapore hosted the World Aquatics Championships for the very first time, from 11 July to 3 August 2025, M Hotel Singapore City Centre stood at the heart of the action as an official partner hotel for the prestigious event.
Selected through a competitive bidding process open to all hotels in Singapore, M Hotel Singapore City Centre emerged as a standout choice. Its strategic location in the Central Business District, spacious room inventory, and strong track record in hosting international guests made it the ideal home base for elite athletes competing in swimming, diving, water polo, and more.
In total, M Hotel Singapore City Centre hosted over 200 athletes from China, South Korea, El Salvador, Antigua, and Bahrain, including the entire China and Korean national teams throughout the competition period. Behind the scenes, the operations team worked tirelessly to ensure a seamless and comfortable stay for every guest.
The success of WAC 2025 has cemented M Hotel Singapore City Centre’s reputation as a trusted partner for large-scale international events. The team brought the “Millennium Experience” to life on the world stage, demonstrating the property’s capability to deliver under the highest-profile circumstances.

The 2025 Sizzle Showdown, Eatery Edition brought together 11 distinguished eateries and 13 talented chefs, each competing to create innovative dishes featuring U.S. poultry. The competition celebrated culinary creativity and showcased the unique styles of each chef before a panel of esteemed judges from Singapore’s vibrant F&B scene.
M Hotel Singapore City Centre was proudly represented by Chef De Partie Lee Cheng Hui of Café 2000 and Demi Chef Elay of The Buffet Restaurant. Under the mentorship of their seasoned guides, both chefs delivered their dishes with exceptional flair and confidence, truly exemplifying the spirit of the competition.
At M Hotel Singapore City Centre, nurturing the personal and professional growth of the team is a priority.
This invaluable experience has further fuelled the property’s commitment to developing culinary talents and empowering them to reach new heights in their careers.
