On Friday, 14 November 2025, Millennium Hotels & Resorts properties around the world paused to celebrate a remarkable milestone: 30 years of hospitality excellence. The “Cheers to 30 Years” Global Toast Party brought teams together in a moment of shared pride, gratitude, and optimism for the future that lies ahead.
The MHR30 Gala was celebrated at the lobby of Grand Copthorne Waterfront Hotel Singapore, bringing together employees and partners from across our global family, including Millennium Hotels and Resorts’ Executive Chairman, Mr Kwek Leng Beng, Executive Director, Mr Kwek Eik Sheng and our senior leaders with guest of honour, former Deputy Prime Minister, Mr Heng Swee Keat. It was a proud moment that recognised Millennium Hotels and Resorts’ journey from one hotel in Singapore to a worldwide portfolio, whilst reaffirming its commitment to innovation, excellence, and the future ahead.
Employees gathered at properties worldwide for a delightful spread of sweet and savoury finger food, followed by a virtual toast synchronised with Singapore to honour Millennium Hotels and Resorts’ 30th anniversary. The simultaneous toast, despite spanning continents and time zones, created a powerful sense of unity and connection across the entire organisation.
It was a beautiful reminder that whilst we work in different locations, speak different languages, and serve different markets, we are all part of the same family—united by shared values and a collective vision for the future.
Time Capsule: Letters to the Future
Beyond the toast, the celebration included a reflective initiative that will connect this milestone to the next. The “Time Capsule: Letters to the Future” invited employees to pen heartfelt messages and hopes for Millennium Hotels and Resorts’ next decade.
These handwritten notes, filled with dreams, aspirations, and encouragement, will be preserved and opened during our 40th anniversary celebration in 2035. It’s a beautiful tradition that acknowledges the people who are building the future today and invites future colleagues to see the vision that guided this moment.
Wall of Gratitude: Celebrating Each Other
To further strengthen the spirit of appreciation, a “Wall of Gratitude” was set up at properties, providing a space for employees to express messages of thanks, encouragement, and celebration for the organisation and for one another.
The Wall became a living testament to the relationships, support, and camaraderie that define our culture. Reading the messages, one thing becomes wonderfully clear: our people don’t just work together—they genuinely care about each other. That’s the foundation of everything we achieve.
The combination of activities—the global toast, the time capsule, and the Wall of Gratitude—fostered a deep sense of unity, pride, and belonging across all teams. It wasn’t just a celebration of the past 30 years, but an affirmation of the values and people who will carry Millennium Hotels and Resorts forward into the next chapter.
Moments like these remind us why we do what we do. Hospitality is about connection, warmth, and creating experiences that matter. On 14 November, we turned that ethos inward, celebrating ourselves and the extraordinary community we’ve built together.
